Review/ Burst: "Lazarus Bird“

img  Tobias

Really hard to define this highly talented Swedish quintet. Let's see...

We could say that it is a musical orgasm taking elements from various places, changing tempi, going from deep melancholy to pure aggression. Some parts sound completely out of time thanks to their indefinable moods, a kind of Muse feeling with his out of space world. Some of these parts could in fact have been used for a movie-soundrack.

There are clear vocals in the vein of new metal singers, sometimes trashy and supported by two backing vocalists. The drumming is clear and extremely precise, floating underneath the petrifying perfection of this sonorous musical trip.

The aggressive passages always appear quickly and disappear just as suddenly, dividing the music in two distinctive parts, an evasive and a brutal one. And the cut between the two hits the listener straight in the face.

Burst are creativity as its highest point. Follow the bird in his quest.

The release date for this fabulous surprise is 22nd september.
