Review/ Inferis: "In The Path Of Malignant Spirits"

img  Tobias

“In The Path Of Malignant Spirits” is the creation of 4 Satanic preachers coming from the deepest and most obscure part from Chile.

Inferis open the gates of hell with their demonic guitars riffs and evil incantations and firmly keep you locked up in there. The band create an infernal painting describing Satan´s kingdom. The drums develop an enormous presence in the music, playing at a relentless but absolutely precise tempo. You can really appreciate the doublebass play. One of the song sticks out especially - “Carriers of the Death”, with its accelerating tempo; for me the best track of the album. The band also manage to surprise with acoustic instrumental “Melancholy”.

The music is enhanced by a stunning cover, designed by the drummer himself. It reflects both the music's evil spirit and Inferis' demonic world exactly. The great 13x13 format makes the album even more special. Moreover, the two bonus tracks fit  the rest of the album perfectly, although they were actually part of a previous record, “Destroying The Light”.

Inferis is not one of those cheap Satanic Death Metal bands; they combine creativity, imagination and aggression.
