TobiasMyleene Klass has given up her dream of becoming a classical music star. After scoring a gold album ("Moving on") and even being nominated for a Classical Brit Award, she was apparently struggling for recognition in an industry she now describes as "snobbish". Klass may well be suffering a lack of credibility because of her former membership in Hear'Say, the UK's first group to result from a televised competition. It may have given her instant fame and a name to remember, but people are obviously finding it hard accepting both sides of her persona. Klass and Universal Classics have split up and she is now looking for a job as a TV-presenter.
We have checked Myleenes Homepage and now have a better understanding of what has gone wrong. Her video for a reworking of Bachs Toccata might look great, but the different arrangement and underlying beats really move her away from Classical music into Contemporary Instrumental - as do her R'n B - interpretation of the Moonlight Sonata and Soundtrack-pieces. So maybe the fact that she wasn't taken for a Classical Musician can be attributed to her recording a non-classical album?
