Review/ Sauron: "Hornology"

Sauron were originally formed in 1991; after a few  events, line-up changes, demos, their first release and a first split-up, they made their comeback 5 years ago. „Hornology“ was published last year on Old Temple; Now, Sauron are a very well-known Black Metal band in the underground scene, mainly playing live around Poland.

The music and vocals are typical for true and raw black Metal; the guitars can sometimes surprisingly be found flirting with melodic elements. Sauron spread their disgust for Christianity, denouncing the stupidity of the holy texts and preaching unholy incantations.

All these years of suffering forged Sauron´s character and style, making them a pillar in the Polish underground scene. It would not be so “black” if it was so easy to compose an album every year. Only hard work and absolute will can lead to a dark masterpiece. This is for Black Metal listeners eager to expand their unholy black collection.
