Carlos Giffoni: Happiness spilling into Zamuro & Adult Life

Carlos Giffoni is further broadening his stylistic outreach with two new releases depicting his move from nerve-wrecking Noise towards a colourful and subtle electronic style incorporating the most diverse influences. “Zamuro”, on the one hand, presents “the most complete version “of the eponymous piece for portable synth and analog filter composed in preparation to his touring activities 2006 and 2007. Giffoni performed “Zamuro” several times during concerts at the time, gradually refining it until Lasse Marhaug taped a near-definitive rendition at the Compound in San Francisco, which has now been used for the Vinyl release on Important Records. The B-side, meanwhile, presents a sort of cinematic extension of “Zamuro”, using a large Modular Synthesizer and varying its themes. Described by Important Records as “pure psychedelic electronic music”, the album has already sold out from the label, but copies are apparently still available from the artist. A second album, meanwhile, now turns towards a completely new horizon.
