Arthur Rubinstein: The Original Jacket Collection documents love for Chopin

img  Tobias

In its entirety, „The Original Jacket Collection - Rubinstein Plays Chopin“ is therefore much more than just a perfect Christmas gift for Piano afficionados. It effectively documents the artistic relationship between one of the most eccentric and extrovert artists of the 20th century classical scene and a composer whose romantic and melodious style continues to inspire more than 100 years after his premature death.

In comparison to the Glenn Gould edition, „The Original Jacket Collection - Rubinstein Plays Chopin“ of course still looks pretty humble. That former box set contained a staggering 80 CDs and carries a price tag of almost 200 Euros/$250.
