Review/ The Eyes of a Traitor: "A clear perception"
Tobias“A clear perception” is the first full-length from young British band The Eyes Of A Traitor, hailing from Hertfordshire. Some might think that it is a bit risky for such a big label like Listenable Records to sign a teenage band, but you´ll quickly notice that the risk was more than worth it judging by the sound of “A clear perception”.
Moreover, despite their age, both the musicians and their music show a lot of maturity. It is quite impossible to attach a genre tag to The Eyes Of A Traitor, as their first album is a really complex, technical and varied work. The Eyes Of A Traitor are the kind of band capable of massive success due to their subtle mix of metal and pop arrangements.
“A clear perception” shows two faces, a brutal and a melodic/sensitive one; songs like “With Different Eyes” and “Decorus” are just as melodic as they're technically-honed. The Eyes Of A Traitor are incredibly fresh and break new, unknown grounds; this is a sensation.
