No need to memorise the name Bionic Angel, as you are certainly going to hear it more than just once. This American/German combo is playing an entertaining Gothic Pop Rock fusion. Don´t be schocked at the sight of the word “Pop” as after a few songs you will definitively have the melodies and lyrics spinning in your head as well.

There’s nothing to you do, prepare to be auditively hypnotized. Songs like “Living a lie”, “End of days” and “Du mein Gott” could become real hits in a vampiric parallel galaxy. The lyrics aren´t particularly original and quite simple, but deadly efficient in getting stuck in your head for the entire day; Texts are both in English and German - possibly a determined choice to aim at certain kinds of listeners, for example the American market, where German bands are currently warmly welcomed.

Bionic Angel have the visuals, the songs and already a well known live reputation due to provocative and originally horrific shows. The band has “toured” with massive and experienced bands like Him, Soulfly, Apolyptica… We can therefore definitely say that the band is on the right way to success, let’s see if it is going to be a short “glory fashion” moment or an open window to a long and prosperous carrier.

My five cents: “Just listen to them now before everybody does.”
