Carl Craig: Sessions from Techno to Jazz

The two hours of „Sessions“ also include Carl Craig remixes for other acts, like Xpress 2 and Theo Parrish. In a video feature realised by record company !K7, he elucidates the story to the tracks by going back in his own history and his first experiences with electronic music – listening to „Popcorn“ on the radio and seeing a copy of „Switched on Bach“. He also, almost casually, reveals some of the aspects of his art, including finding a middle way between futurism and commercial productions and changing the aesthetics of remixes from simply making „a potentially good club track into a better club track“ into creating a whole new original.
