Festival plays twelve hours of Bach nearly non-stop

Thumbs up to Bach as Students of the Manhattan School of Music are preparing to launch the "Johannathon", a twelve hour long event which will put his music first. Consisting of four programmes of Concerts, Sonatas and Toccatas only seperated by half-hour long breaks, the aim is to raise money for the Performing Artists Against AIDS-campaign. There will be special guest appearances by Midori, David Soyer, Peter Vinograde and others and it will all take place at the James Chappel at Union Theological Seminary in New York. Ticket prices are 10$ per programme for Students and 20$ for everyone else, except for VIPs, who can spend 100$ on a special reservation.
