Jodi Cave: Brings Myria to European Stages

Sound artist Jodi Cave has just started a short European tour. Cave will be performing at five different venues in five different countries in support of his current album „For Myria”. That album was greeted with open arms by the international press, with Polish Gaz-Eta predicting it to “open the door for bigger and greater things in the future”, Igloomag doting on its “emotive, tones” and White Line calling it “a mature, and engaging slice of near-minimalism”. This site saw it as a rich and yet effortless statement by a man who “likes to disappear completely behind his music.” Already at the time of its release, it seemed like a great idea to perform these tracks live in some form or to use the same concept in the concert situation. Jodi Cave’s music, despite its processed character, has never lost its human touch, after all, with many organic sound sources still shining through the airy drone- and microtone-textures.

These are the dates of the Jodi Cave European Tour Spring 2008:
Feb 07 | Zurich, Switzerland | Kunstraum Walcheturm
Feb 09 | Bordeaux, France | Aposiopese
Feb 11 | Paris, France | La Cave St Sauveur
Feb 14 | Berlin, Germany | Electronic Church
Feb 16 | Differdange - Luxembourg | Autre Part

More information can be found at the site of the particular concert spaces.
