Heinali & Matt Finney: Lemonade

Not sure whether this Ukrainamerican duo would make for good competition to brands like Coke and Pepsi – their wilful concoction of apocalyptic Rock spiced up with dark poetry is certainly anything but suited to fragile mainstream tastes. On the other hand, „Lemonade“, a six-track-EP released as a free download on Bandcamp, undeniably offers all those thirsty for refreshing sonic delicacies plenty of tasty discoveries. While Heinali's dense brushwood of hypnotic Metal Riffs and stoic sludge-beats, majestically soaring Guitars, Psycho-Industrial atmospheres and tender Ambient melodies creates a surreal, underwordly zone between waking and dreaming, Finney's raspy spoken word lines move like a slow second stream of consciousness, wilfully ignorant of the passionate urge of the music.
