When we asked Kadet Kuhne, if she'd be willing to grant us an interview
regarding her performance at the So Cal Sonic festival this month, she
replied that she'd love to - but that work was virtually eating her up. Let
us bring you up to date with what she's been up to: April 6th-9th, she will
appear at the UNCG New Music festival, which in its second esition features
Guest Composer Anne LeBaron. While a lot of the artists will research the
relationship between music of the digital and analog world, Kadet will
present films, and try to translate the protagonists movements into sound.
The festival will take place in Greensboro, NC. Just a month earlier, she
took part at the Mergig Voices, Annual Women in New Music Festival. And even
though her album "Thin Air" has been out for quite some time, we still find
it to be one of the most special and singular collection of wondrous pieces
around. Let's hope she does find some time to answer these questions.
