Playing to help

French Pianist Aurelie Tremblay likes to combine her regular schedule of intimate concert evenings and grand-scale classical happenings with regular concerts for a good cause. Her latest effort perfectly fits this picture. On April, 20th she performed two sonatas by Brahms and Liszt to an almost sold out hall, combining the aural pleasure with the culinary satisfaction of a first-class dinner. Reactions were unanimously extatic, with people traveling from far to Graz to be a part of the happening. No the same programme will serve to help hearing-impared children, as well as young people with speaking disorders. All the profit resulting from the event taking place at the Geriatriezentrum am Wienerwald in Vienna will go into buying therapeutical material. Again, it's not just the music, as guests will be treated to champagne and canapes (that's french for a nice piece of toast, in case you're wondering). Artist Robert W. Sackl-Kahr Sagostin has furthermore designed a special picture, copies of which can be bought after the proceedings.
