The makers of the site have correctly analised that despite its often rich reservoire of talent, many emerging markets face problems establishing their artists on a global scale. Costs and limitated media access have been the problem, mainly, and the fact that personal contacts are harder to establish only exacerbates things. That's why Discover Classics has started off with presenting Russian artists and will continue to feature musicians from countries that as yet might not have left their mark on the Classical scene.
