The Beauty of the Piano: A review of "Swod – Gehen"

Do we still appreciate the Sound of an Piano and the soft reverb that comes from those Keys? Or is this just something that most of us are not accustomed to? If so, we should change our Minds. Perhaps we could miss something really beautiful.

Swod is the Sideproject of Oliver Doerell and Stephan Wöhrmann who met in Berlin sometime in 1991. Doerell is also known for his fabulous work with Dictaphone.

„Gehen“ is like a Soundtrack for an rainy Day in Autumn. Everything is in grey and the raindrops are pouring down the Window. There is a soft and warm Drone that is coming out of the Speakers. Stephan Wöhrmann is playing a few Chords on his Piano. An intimate feeling. Instinctively you move your head to the Window to see if its still raining. And it does. The strange feeling is, that you feel relieved. You breath in and out.

The Clock shows „10 p.m“. The last Tones of Wöhrmann's Piano fade away. Slowly you open up your Eyes.
The Rain outside stopped. Only a few Raindrops left on the Window as you look outside. So you go to Bed and pray that its raining again tomorrow. (Swod - Hochbahn)
