The German Label "Ars Musici", founded by Rudolf Ruby, who was also the man
behind the success of the "Deutsche Harmonia Mundi", has joined the ranks of
"Note 1" distribution. To celebrate the occasion, a few new CDs will be
published:
Musica Hispanica features pieces by
Ortiz and
de Escobar
played on recorder by
Flautando Köln and featuring
Ursula
Thelen (Voice) as well as
Torsten Müller (Percussion).
On her latest album,
Beata Bedkowska-Huang aims to prove that the
classical guitar is capable of more than petitesses - Her renditions of two
sonatas, one by
Jose and the other by
Ginastera are now
packaged with a transcription of the bach solo sonata for violin and should
make for a great programme.
And finally, the
Bundesjugendorchester goes about playing Mozarts
Prager Sinfonie, as well as
Also Sprach Zarathustra -
Bernhard Klee conducting here.
